You will feel at home the moment you step in the door. We are a small-town church with a big heart. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. You can wear casual clothes or your “Sunday best”. We’re friendly, open and accepting. When we say that everyone is welcome, we do mean everyone.
We offer a place where you can grow in your relationship with God and with others.
Our pastor, Rev. Kenneth Baker (“Pastor Ken”), begins every service with a heartfelt “Good Morning!” He leads the congregation through some singing, announcements, greeting each other and prayer. Our liturgist will typically read scripture from both the old and new testaments.
Pastor Ken’s sermon will bring scripture to life so that, after hearing it, you will know what Jesus had in mind for us in today’s world.
A large and bright nursery is available for children five and younger, but you are welcome to keep them in worship with you. Jesus had a special place in his heart for the “little ones” and so do we!!
Pastor Ken has a special time with the children at every service. Children are invited to take the “Story Box” home with them each week and return it the following week with something in the box. (Shhhhhh! Keep it secret!) Pastor Ken will use the item to create a Christian message geared to the children.
The children have their own ministry, too. When they add quarters to the Heifer Project “quarter pole,” they’re helping families around the world experience the love of Christ through the gift of farm animals. And it’s not just their own quarters the children bring. Their hands are often filled with quarters they’ve been given as they come down the aisle for Story Box time.
We are currently seeking children and youth who would like to form a relationship with Jesus through discipleship with others their own age.
Adults can find the engagement and support they need in their own Sunday School group or other small-group experiences. We have also formed some Wesley Covenant Groups. There is plenty of opportunity to become involved in that ministry, either by joining a current group or by forming a new group. Everyone is invited to become involved in the more structured programs of United Methodist Women and United Methodist Men.
Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here. Come grow with us!
