We’re proud to be in the heart of Paola, near the historic town square and courthouse.
We’ve been near the center of things since the first Methodist classes met here in 1858.
After more than 150 years, we’re still feeling young!
8:15 a.m. – informal worship for early risers
No liturgy, not many frills – just some singing and some praying and some preaching, all in about 45 minutes.
10:30 a.m. – traditional worship
The choir, the acolytes and the preacher (sometimes) wear robes, and the organist cranks up the pipe organ, but this is about as relaxed a “formal” worship service as you’ll ever find.
9:15 a.m. – church school
We have classes for all ages, including youth, and several classes for adults.
We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every
month. As United Methodists, we believe that the Lord’s Table is open to all,
so you do not have to be a United Methodist or a member of this church to
receive communion.
Generally, we serve by “intinction” (dipping the bread into
a common cup) and by receiving in little cups at the prayer rail.
On the Fourth Sunday of every month, we especially
encourage donations to the PACA Food Bank; we especially encourage people to
become new members of the church; and we have a special Fellowship Time
following each worship service.
Other growth and fellowship opportunities include:
Chancel Choir – Chancel Bells – Prayer chain – Bible studies
United Methodist Youth – United Methodist Women – United Methodist Men

Morning Out for Mothers – 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays
