Wherever you are on your faith journey, we invite you to become a member of Paola United Methodist Church.
It is easier to grow closer to God if others are walking with you to support you and help guide you - and be supported and guided by you.
We are an open and affirming faith community. We welcome everyone.
"There is no longer Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female, for all of you are one in Christ Jesus." - Galatians 3.28
When you join the church, you are asked five historic questions:
- Do you renounce the spiritual forces of wickedness, reject the evil powers of this world, and
repent of your sin?
- Do you accept the freedom and power God gives you to resist evil, injustic and oppression in
whatever forms they present themselves?
- Do you confess Jesus Christ as your Savior, put your whole trust in His grace and promise
to serve Him as your Lord, in union with the church that Christ has opened to people of all
ages, nations, and races?
- According to the grace give to you, will you remain a faithful member of Christ's holy church
and serve as Christ's representative in the world?
- As a member of this congregation, will you faithfully participate in its ministries, by your
prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness?
